2014-1 BenciNASCAR

As part as the Major introductory course, Visual Thinking, I worked creating visualizations, collecting data and doing data mining for the development of a project called “BenciNASCAR”.

BenciNASCAR was an interactive physical visualization, more like a game, that using Arduino and a database developed with my team compared gas prices around Chile. The game consisted that two players with the same “budget” must chose where to load gas, and depending on the price of the place they chose, the car would have more or less gas to spent. The game ended with a race, in which the cars would stop when the gas was gone, thus declaring the winner player.

For this project I learnt about data mining and Arduino coding, and liked it so much, that now I work as the TA for the course.
