For a course called Technology, Entrepreneurship and Design, the Capstone course of my major, together with Cristián Antúnez and Benjamín Abarca we developed Tremmo.
Tremmo is the perfect cooking assistant that helps you retake the control of your nutritive habits and cook more at home. What we found is that the main cause society is getting fat was because we stopped cooking our meals at home, and replaced them with quick, easy recipes.
Tremmo helps you during the day, when you wake up it sends you notifications to your phone asking you what you’d like to eat at dinner, then, during the day it remembers you to take snack breaks and to go make the shopping needed for your cooking in a grocery store nearby. Finally, when you get home, Tremmo guides you with voice through easy and familiar-spoken recipes, and you can forward or go back steps just with simple gestures, so you can have your hands dirty and even then control the device. You can also play your favourite music through Tremmo’s powerful speaker!
We developed Tremmo thinking as an entrepreneurship project, which was different from other courses of the major when the work I did was purely focused on the innovation and design. One of the most interesting things I learned during this project was the part of creating a Startup project that has to do with Business Model, how to sell an idea, how to establish a company, how to enter a market, different types of markets and many different things related to the marketing and sale of an innovative, engineering design project.
Also, we’re doing this project for real. We loved it so much that we decided to take it a step forward and continue with Tremmo after the course was finished. Hope to keep posting updated on this!
